- 5 / 5By Mark PhillipsMy family and I have been coming to the Dickens Parlour Theater since it opened 4 years ago. It features a full evening of entertainment; a stage show followed up by close-up magic (along with yummy cakes and refreshments) in the Cafe of the theater. We have seen many of the different magicians there and all of them have been outstanding. Jay Read, who almost always does close-up after the stage shows, is one of the funniest and best family entertainers I have ever seen. I could watch him a hundred times and never get tired of his antics. Beach week can become a routine for families like ours and Dickens is a perfect way to get out of that rut. We laugh together, are amazed and just have a great time. This is a very special place worth going out of your way to visit.July 14, 2016
